To our Rumpus friends and family: On August 13th a member of the Rumpus Room's kitchen team tested positive for COVID-19. They are currently at home, in isolation and are doing well. We wish them a speedy recovery and are supporting them in every way we can. We have been working closely with Vancouver Coastal Health on how to best deal with this situation. VCH stated that because we were closely following all health regulations and social distancing guidelines, and because th...e employee was in the back of the house wearing a mask at all times, there is a very low risk of transmission to other staff and to customers. At the Rumpus our number one priority is the safety and well being of our customers and team members. Therefore, although VCH has given us the all clear to stay open, we have decided to take extra precaution and close until we feel it is safe to reopen. None of our other Narrow Group restaurants have been affected. This is a tough time for all of us. Let's all do our part to keep ourselves and our community healthy. Hey Everyone, we want to share something we are really excited about! We at the Narrow Group and two of our restaurants, The Rumpus Room and The Emerald Supper Club & Cocktail Lounge, are partnering up with Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House (MPNH) to deliver cooked meals to families and seniors in need. Due to COVID-19, restaurants have been temporarily shutting down and the Emerald wants to put their unused frozen food to use. Here are two ways customers can support this ...initiative: 1. You can go into the Rumpus Room and pay what you can for a meal. Their chef will be doing a special every day. Bring friends or get it to go, we want you to leave happy! 2. You can pay what you can for a meal that will be donated to Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House. Buy 10 meals or just one, it will go to a senior or family in need and The Rumpus Room team will deliver it! Please follow the link for more information on this as well as how you can take part.
