Meet Two of Our Change Makers! Meet the Easson sisters! Their names are Jackie and Jessica and are from Haldimand County. Originally from Etobicoke, moved back to their family farm with a passion for giving back to the community. They both are involved in local agricultural communities as part of the Caledonia Agricultural Society (Caledonia Fair) which promotes agriculture education. Jackie is currently finishing grade 12 at Cayuga SS and will be attending the University... of Waterloo in the fall studying Life Sciences: biochemistry. Jackie is an active member of students’ council, directing recreational activities/events and has attended many leadership trainings and conferences like Global Student Leadership Summit (where she was also selected to be a spirit ambassador). She also represents the Oneida Plowman’s Association as Princess of the Furrow. Jessica is currently finishing her Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University this summer. At university, she was on the executive of WE Laurier (a club raising money and awareness for WE charity) and helped organize community building activities in residence. Through the Caledonia Fair, she has explored ways that she can leverage her degree on the marketing committee and creating promotional materials. She also had the opportunity to be a part of the Cayuga Chamber of Commerce in her grade 12 year of high school as the Student Council Prime Minister.
