Now that the Region of Waterloo has moved into the COVID-19 Red Zone, we would like to re assure our patients that we are following all necessary Public Health guidelines and precautions to keep them and our Staff safe. We are open to provide our full range of Dental Services in a safe protected environment. Patient and Staff Screening, limited patient flow through the office, protective screens at our front desk, Hand sanitizer, appropriate PPEs and mandatory face masks at... all times in the office are standard protocol. The waiting area and each operatory is equipped with powerful, made in Canada Air Purifiers [Surgically Clean Air]. In addition NO Aerosol Generating Procedures[AGPs] are performed when you come in for your cleaning and check up. AGPs required for fillings and other Dental Treatment, are provided in closed rooms with screens to minimize and contain Aerosol. The air in these rooms is purified and re processed by the Air Purifier during the procedure and before the next patient is bought in. Every Operatory is sterilized and adequate time is allowed between patients to ensure the Air Purifiers have cleaned the air of any Aerosol left over. Your safety is top priority for us. In response to Waterloo Region moving to a COVID 19 Orange Zone, Saginaw Dental Centre is further enhancing protocols. In addition to all pre existing precautions- Patient and staff screening, reduced patient flow, air flow optimisation, air purifiers, appropriate PPEs and hand sanitizer, we are also now only conducting Aerosol Generating Procedures (AGPs) in a closed operatory with screens, to minimize aerosol spread. Face Masks must be worn by Patients entering the office. Patient temperature taken when they arrive at the office. We are minimizing number of patients in the operatories to reduce possibility of transmission. Medical grade HEPA filters have been ordered to further increase the air purification.
