Sahaja Yoga Vancouver Island 24.02.2021

A new student of Sahaja Yoga recently asked: How can you offer these meditation programs for free? We answered: We received all knowledge free of charge from our teacher Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. She insisted that these teachings have to be free; the gift of meditation is so precious that no one can afford to pay for it. Like the air we breathe is free. The only thing we can give in return is to offer this gift to others - like one candle enlightening another. We absolutely do not ask for donations But yes, Zoom fees have to be paid; they are affordable and represent our voluntary contribution to our community. and so we joyfully keep offering free introduction classes to Sahaja Yoga Meditation online - check us out!

2020 has been a strange year but we made the best of it. We learned the use of zoom and started offering our free meditation classes online, and we will continue with this in 2021. With fondness we are looking back to meeting and meditating together in real space, even having little seminars or music programs to enjoy, learn more and improve the depth of our meditation. It will all be back

Our series of online meditations is drawing to a close (for now) and we are going to spend more time with those of you who have joined us in our beginner sessions and who would like to learn more. And we have good news for 2021! Starting January 13, we will again offer beginners' sessions online - please have a look at our Events for more details. See you there! Our sessions are always free and open to all.

Our in-person course starts in 2 days and we are looking forward to meditating with the brave souls who will be attending. Of course we have to accept covid-related requirements by the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre. Here is a summary of what is expected - this should not deter us from experiencing a satisfying meditation and learning the basic meditation techniques. The Qualicum Beach Civic Centre requires all participants to adhere to covid site-specific requirements which inc...lude washing hands before and after the event (there is a bathroom near the room), mask use when appropriate, being aware of the potential risk despite all precautionary measures, calling 811 and notifying 250.738.2207 in case of illness within 14 days after visiting the venue, and leaving full name and phone number or email with the instructor at every session (this personal information will only be shared for the purpose of contact tracing with Provincial Health staff and only if the need arises). For more details or questions, and if you wish to register, please call Inge at 250-228-0311 or email her at [email protected].

Summer is at its cusp and we are enjoying meditation with our feet in the cooling waves of the ocean. Come September we will find ourselves again in a more structured meditative environment; a 4-week Sahaja Yoga Meditation beginner course will start on September 9 at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre, and online-sessions will be offered starting September 15. For details check out our events section. See you there!
