' ? You are sitting in a yoga pose, saying to yourself "now I will meditate". You are trying to reach thoughtless but it's just not coming.... You are trying more and then just sitting some more. Your head is full of thoughts. You have sat for 5 minutes. It's not bad, at least you were with yourself, but it's not that feeling of deep joy which you had before. ? First of all this is absolutely , you are not alone. There are a lot of people meditating who have these struggles. ? ? : It might be that you are simply tired and forcing yourself to sit down for meditation. Instead, you could do a short footsoak and then go to rest. Then try again. Little by little you can increase the time of your meditation. Don't force yourself too much. Meditation is a moment of joy and harmony first and foremost. It is also possible that your brain is overworking and thoughts are disturbing you during the meditation. You can put your hand on your forehead and say "I forgive" a few times. For some people, it helps to get up early in the morning when the sun is rising and it is silent everywhere. This magical moment will help to silence your mind and ease into meditation. Even if you have a split second of thoughtlessness during your meditation - it's a good start. Next time you will have a second, and then two. Don't stop trying!
