I am concerned about a booking request I received this afternoon. My potential customers asked about prices and availability and wanted to go on a day-sailing adventure right away. I noticed that the phone number area code was from Ontario so I asked the question. They said they came from Ontario and were permitted to enter at the New Brunswick border. They said there was no check at the Nova Scotia border. I asked the couple if they had self-isolated for 14 days and they... said no and that they has just eaten at Cora’s restaurant and said they were not aware of the self-isolation requirement. I suggested they check the requirements for self-isolation in Nova Scotia and they said they would. I did not hear back from them. I remember the case of the Doctor from Campbellton, New Brunswick who went to Quebec to bring back his daughter, drove straight back and started an outbreak, it’s as simple as that and I am now more concerned about visitors not being aware of or not following the safety protocols. I have not been able to visit my granddaughter in New Brunswick without self-isolating and expect others to follow these safety procedures as well. Please, if you want to book a day-sailing charter with Captain Kerr, follow the rules for protecting yourselves, our employees and the general public from the Covid-19 virus by following the Nova Scotia requirements which are always up to date at Province of Nova Scotia COVID-19 resource page. We also encourage you to reference the Province of Nova Scotia’s dedicated website to reopening here: Preparing to Reopen Nova Scotia. See more

We are now open for the season and have both your and our health and safety as top priority. Our Health and Safety procedures have been updated to reflect Nova Scotia Department of Health Covid-19 regulations. The weather is also starting to cooperate. Come join us in Cape Breton where we are the greatest and have had the most positive Covid-19 results ever!
