I am writing to provide an unexpected update to our loyal customers. Sally's Bar & Grill received word from provincial government that effective yesterday VLT operations would resume for establishments with less than 15 VLTs in enhanced areas like High River. As such, we are resuming operations with COVID 19 safety protocols in place. We apologize for the inconvenience that these updates have caused as we respond to a rapidly changing situation. The owner, management, and staff are very happy to see our customers again. We truly appreciate your continued support during this difficult time.

Well it's me again with another update. We were informed today by AGLC that any establishment that had under 15 vlts would have their vlts shut off if they are in an enhanced area, which we are here in High River. Now these establishments with less than 15 vlts can still stay open and serve food and alcohol but Sally has had to make so many tough decisions these last few months and I think she has made the right ones in trying to do her part in flattening this curve and keepi...ng Covid out of her establishment. We think that since we are in an enhanced area that we should just hold off and wait it out for awhile until the numbers come down. That being said, Sally and her staff regret to inform our very dedicated customers who keep supporting us no matter what that we will be temporarily shutting down again. This again isn't permanent as soon as we are not considered an enhanced area we will be able to turn the vlts back on and hopefully the numbers will reduce drastically in the next 3 weeks or so and we can get back to it and that's not to say hat we are going to be closed for three weeks or open in three weeks we just do not know right now what will happen and when, as you all know. Sally, Chantal and the rest of the staff would again like to thank you for you continued support in these very trying and difficult times, we know that everyone is struggling and the fact that you continue to support us is a big deal! As always I will keep you posted on here as to what is happening. We understand that this may be an inconvenience and upset some of you these decisions sally had had to repeatedly make very quickly without warning have not been easy for her, her family or the staff here either but we just want to keep doing our part and will continue to do it till we get this thing beat! Just heard on the news right now that on Friday bars and restaurants are only allowed 25% capacity which for Sallys is not a horrible restriction so things are still positive today. Thank you all for your continued support!

I was so pleased to hear on the news yesterday that were are able to remain open! I think it was the right decision as it was said restaurants puns and bars are doing a great job at keeping up with the rules of social distancing and the proper sanitization measures. I know I myself spend a lot of my own time (without expecting to get paid as to help out my boss a bit too) at the end of every shift ,after I'm done my regular closing duties that I've done for over 5 years now, ...doing extra sanitizing measures such as wiping every door knob light switch and every possible spot a person may lean or touch. Not to say this wasn't done before because anyone who knows me knows how clean I am but I am just doing it more now and over and over and then again when every last thing is done at the end of the night I do it one more time! I know that other restaurant pub and bar employees and owners are doing the same so I am so proud of all of us because it made it possible for us to get to go to work Atleast for the next 3 weeks! I would like to thank Sally for bringing me back and for continuing to give us whatever hours she can and I would like to shout out to my coworkers and everyone else in the industry! First I would like to thank the large group of my younger customers that came out to support myself and Sally’s Bar on Friday night it was the busiest I have been since we started opening in the evening on October 15th! I am definitely a little rusty after 5.5 months off but you were all wonderfully patient and you are all always so polite and well behaved for a group of youngsters! I am always so happy when you all come in and see me! Thanks for a great evening! That being s...aid I have a couple of things to announce! Sally has dropped the price of domestic bottles of beer down to $5.25 from $5.75 and she has also changed the price of our famous everyday steak sandwich special(made by our fabulous cook Ryan!) back down to $9.95! Times are tough for all of the business owners in our little town and they are all doing what they can to get people back out and about(safely of course)! We appreciate the customers that continue to support us even in these trying times and Sally wanted to do a little something to show our appreciation for your continued support and we hope to see more of our regulars coming back out and also would love to welcome new customers in as well! I apologize for not updating the hours of operation for the bar on here sooner I thought that I had but I guess I didn't and I'm sorry for that! I did change the hours under hours of operation on this page but I will also write all the hours here and share on my personal Facebook page as well. Also this way you can share this post so that it gets out there for everyone to see! Thanks for continuing to support Sally and her staff! I know things have been very different and som...etimes tough but we will get through this together with a bit of patience and understanding! Hope to see more of you coming to see us in the following days and weeks! Bar Hours: Monday to Saturday the bar will be open from 11:00am-9:00pm. We are deciding to still stay closed all day Sunday until things get a bit better. Kitchen Hours: Monday to Thursday the kitchen will be open from 11:00am to 4:00pm and on Friday it will be open until 8:00pm. At this time the kitchen is not open at all on Saturday and Sunday. These hours for the bar and the kitchen are subject to change. If business keeps picking up we will keep extending the hours but the hours will remain as they are now every night for the bar and will not be closed any earlier because we would like to keep it consistent so that people know when to come. To all our dedicated customers who have been eagerly awaiting our re-opening: Sally will be reopening the bar on September 8th. Although she will be reopening the hours will remain very different at this time because of the current situation of all thats going on with the pandemic, etc. She does not feel that it will benefit anyone at this time if she remains open past 5 oclock on any day of the week. So for now until further notice Sallys bar and grill will be reopening on... Tuesday, September 8th, 2020 from 11am till 5pm. Ok I did put up a post yesterday and it seems to have disappeared so Ill try it again lol! To all of our dedicated and faithful Customers, The Owner staff and management at Sallys bar and grill has made the decision to re-close the doors of the bar at this time. We have decided that it is not the right time yet to be open and would like to wait a little longer until things get a bit better around town and the province for that matter. But I cannot stress enough that this is... NOT a permanent situation at all! We are not closing the doors for good and our vlts are not getting taken out of the bar. We are just taking a little more time to make sure that it is safe and wait till people are feeling more safe and comfortable to start coming out again. This is a TEMPORARY closure. At this time we do not have an exact date to give to you as to when we will be reopening but we will definitely be reopening sometime in the near future for sure and will keep everyone posted on here with any new information when we have it. I just please ask that you continue to be patient and keep checking this page for updates rather than listen to any rumours that may be going around. SALLYS BAR & GRILL TEMPORARILY CLOSING NOTICE TUESDAY MARCH 17TH, 2020... These are times of uncertainty in our province and the broader world. As a result of the declaration of a state of public emergency in this province and continued recommendations of health officials to practice social distancing, Sallys is following the provincial order to TEMPORARILY pause operations until further notice. This closure is effective March 17th, 2020 - 3:00 p.m. We all share the same uncertainty regarding this pandemic and depend on continued direction from our government and health officials who are mandating social distancing practices and closure of bars to limit the spread of this dangerous virus. Sallys Bar & Grill shares in this responsibility and will do our small part by closing to help in their efforts to maintain the health and safety of the community. We will continue to monitor and adhere to provincial and national guidelines, with our plans to reopen when it is deemed safe by authorities. Kitchen is open until 10 tonight!! Later on we will have free samples of Jambalaya and then bigger portions for sale either a side size or a meal size. Ryan makes the best Jambalaya! Hey Everyone! So for New Years Eve we will be doing Karaoke and we will also be doing some fun interactive games created by the wonderful Terry! I do believe it is going to be a Mardi Gras theme so come and earn your beads! We will be serving up some of Ryans awesome Jambalaya and there will be drink and shooter specials as well! As usual there wont be a cover charge for this which is great for a lot of people this year! Come down and join us for fun games and great singers and of course the best jambalaya around!!

Due to Halloween we are NOT doing the open mic tonight...instead we are doing karaoke and a costume contest with cash prizes for 1st,2nd and 3rd place! Drink specials as well! Sorry for any inconvenience but the jam we were having tonight instead of Thursday had been cancelled and from now on until there is more of a demand for Tuesday karaoke that would bring in better sales we will not be doing Tuesday karaoke...we will still be doing karaoke on Friday and the Thursday and Sunday jams...this Thursday for Halloween we are doing karaoke and costume prizes instead of a jam but thats just this week..sorry for any confusion if you have any questions please message me personally or come in and talk to me...thank you for hour continued support!

So our schedule for karaoke and the open mike jam is a bit different this week because of Halloween so here is whats happening this week at Sallys: Tuesday night we are doing our open Mike jam instead of Thursday night this week. So the jam is Tuesday at 8:30p.m. Thursday we are doing Karaoke for Halloween and there will be drink specials and costume prizes! I will create a special Halloween drink as well! Friday is Karaoke as usual 9pm start. Saturday we are having a sec...ond Halloween party with 2 bands and costume prizes! Will be drink specials and special Halloween drink again that night too! For anyone that hasnt yet and would like to there is a big poster to sign for our friend Don Mills who is very sick in the hospital and we r sending the poster along with flowers up to the hospital tomorrow morning so if you still want to sign it please go there until close tonight to do so! Sallys is starting up our Sunday afternoon Open Mike Jam again this afternoon from 2:00pm-6:00pm. The jam will again be hosted by the talented Mike Burns! This will be happening every Sunday unless otherwise posted. Also want to remind everyone that we have an Open Mic Jam every Thursday starting at 8:30pm and that one is hosted by our wonderful Karaoke host Terry! Lots of talented singers and players attend both of these jams so if you are a musician come on down and join them the more the merrier! Karaoke is back on Tuesdays starting this week!

Happy Hour is from 4-8pm and Fridays for Happy Hour we have Highwood HiBalls on special for $5.25 and thats for the vodka,rye,gin and white rum. I also have shots of Baja Rosa and Goldschlager on for $5 and Baja Rosa Paralyzers are also $5 each! Karaoke is cancelled for Friday the 23rd due to a concert we are hosting. Sorry to any karaoke singers that this inconveniences but this was the only date that we could all agree upon due to schedules. Karaoke will resume again on Friday, August 30, 2019. Have a great day!

So was waiting in posters before I posted this event but its getting close to the date so Ill do a quick post and then when I get posters I will post again... The Management and staff of Sallys is pleased to announce that on Friday, August 23rd, 2019 instead of Karaoke we will be having two bands in to play..each band includes one of our local boys in each..The bands are: Peter and the Wolves and in this band on the drums is Cody Voyer who has, in the past, worked at Sally...s and other bars in town and is well known by most people in High River! Also playing is Danny Vacon and Bobby Henderson from The Dudes and Bobby is a born and raised High Riverite! This night is going to be a blast and we cant wait to host it! There will be a $15 cover charge at the door and I do believe the show starts at 9pm..if that is incorrect I will update when I finally get the posters! See more

The management of Sallys Bar & Grill is sorry to announce that we will be cancelling Tuesday night Karaoke until further notice. Unfortunately there has been an extremely low turn out on Tuesday week after week and at this time we can not justify continuing on with it every Tuesday. Karaoke will still continue on fridays as usual so atleast there is that! We will consider picking back up the Tuesday karaokes at a later date when business starts to pick back up again maybe later into the fall. Thank you to all who do come to karaoke each week!
