Wow! What an exciting and heartwarming experience getting to explore Salt Spring through the eyes of so many. The Salt Spring Cheer Challenge was born out of the need to bring some cheer, island pride and excitement to the darkest time of year, the time of year where so many islanders take off to warmer climates or hideaway at home weathering the wet and damp winter. Participants commented on how much fun they're having exploring the island, and most spoke about how they typi...cally wouldn't be doing it in the winter. We heard stories from one couple who loved embracing what Salt Spring has to offer even in the winter, and most of all loved supporting the businesses and artisans that make-up our community. We had 88 individual participants with over 850 entries! For a first-time event we call that a success! Now, with excitement here are the winners of our grand prizes: 1. Two-night stay at Black Rock Resort - Grace Jordan 2. Two-night staycation at Harbour House Hotel - Larkin Schmeidl 3. Return Flights to Vancouver - Sineyah Jordan Congratulations to our winners.
