Well guys, its official, I'm on vacation! It's was 18 and sunny down here in New Orleans today, and I'm soaking up all the sunshine I can for when I have to come home to cold and rainy BC! For real though, leaving my son behind for a week might just be the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and it's only day 2...wish me luck! (brb, just going to look at photos and videos on my phone for a couple minutes )

It's been way too long since I showed my face around here, and there's also a bunch of new faces, so I thought I'd pop in and share a few things about me! I'm a wife and a mama - my son just turned 1 on New Years Day! I took a maternity leave for a lot of last year, and while it was absolutely wonderful to be able to spend that time with my family, I'm so excited to be back to shooting! I don't get to do it very often, but I LOVE travelling and seeing ...new places! My hubby (Michael) and I are heading down to New Orleans next month, so if anyone has any recommendations there, I'm all ears! I love baking all the things. Fall is probably my favourite season to bake (hello pumpkin everything!!), but Christmas baking is definitely a close second. In the last year I've been doing more cakes as well, which I really enjoy! I try to give it away most of the time so it's not in the house tempting me, much to Michael's dismay If you've seen my feed at all, this should come as no surprise - nature is my inspiration for all things photography. BUT, I have a hard time capturing a landscape and feeling like I do it justice without having a human in front of it!
