Four Canadian volunteers with disaster relief experience helped Louisiana hurricane victims and led teams of American volunteers who cleaned up damaged properties and prepared houses for repair. The residents were all grateful; some were brought to tears at the end of our work. And they were amazed that someone would come all the way from Canada to help them. Yesterday, our DC-8 plane landed in Nassau, Bahamas with our Emergency Field Hospital for patients with #COVID19. Canadian DART members are also deploying as part of this response in a variety of roles. We have unloaded the supplies and are beginning to set up the hospital in anticipation of seeing patients soon.
