A Somali meal just isn't complete without plumes of burning frankincense. We use a dabqaad - traditional incense burner hand carved from meerschaum - to perfume our homes and clothing with the sweet smell of uunsi while we enjoy qahwa (spiced coffee) and halwo, the ultimate Somali dessert.
