Today I will continue with the series of all the people that taught or influenced me for a long period of time. I lave learned from many people but not all for... a@long period of time, if I would post here everyone I have learned from it would be a very hard task to accomplish because we all learn at all times if your cup is empty. Luckily I @opapairenato stumbled upon many amazing people and souls. It has been a very blessed life. In this picture we (@sampabjj) are featuring my Jiu Jitsu Professor, Ryan Gracie @rayrongracie I started training with Ryan in 1997 when Prof. @gordobjj introduced him to me. I have not a single bad word to say about Ryan, he gave me the blue belt, purple, brown and black belts, he introduced me to the world of Jiu Jitsu, competitions, old timers and much more. I was introduced to the bjj industry and many people in BJJ because of him. Many other professors will be featured here too like @russobjj_7am I am from a time that did not exist much black belts - in São Paulo city neither state. Purple belts where the real deal back then and Ryan Gracie (@rayrongracie ) built an amazing squad that I remember dominating all the weight classes at the São Paulo state championship. Training was tough not everyone was able to finish it or do it for longer. But everyone who came from that team either did super well in Bjj tournaments, MMA or at least has a great understand of fighting and how to do not hurt others. The day prof. Ryan past away, I was notified via phone and I remember not believing in my wife’s words. It would be very nice to have him around us to this day. I miss my friend and professor Ryan Gracie.
