Incredible photos taken by SGL pilots from 2011 to the present, as they fly over Ireland for the Tellus survey (Geological Survey Ireland). The GSI states While the survey collects geochemical and geophysical data that can image the deep geological features beneath our feet, these photographs show the human story of the survey and the dramatic coastlines, hills, fields and people who make up this island.

Latest Phase of Ireland's Tellus Airborne Geophysical Survey Data Released The Geological Survey Ireland (GSI) has released geophysical data acquired by Sander Geophysics during the spring and summer of 2019 over the southeast of the country. SGL´s de Havilland Twin Otter (registration C-GSGF) gathered over 35,000 lkm of data using this unique multi-parameter platform, which includes the high resolution SGFEM four frequency electromagnetic system, total field magnetics and fu...ll-spectrum radiometrics. According to the GSI, "these new data map over 600 million years of complicated and varied geology; from traces of long lost continents, dramatic volcanic arcs and the massive granite intrusions which still dominate the landscape today." The new data can be accessed online free of charge. Sander Geophysics looks forward to returning to Ireland this spring to complete the next phase of this important project. See more

Sander Geophysics' Uncovers New Geological Features in Ireland Group Eleven, a mineral exploration company active in Ireland, announced that their preliminary analysis of the multi-parameter data Sander Geophysics recently acquired for the Geological Survey of Ireland's Tellus Programme revealed some previously unknown geological features. Bart Jaworski, CEO of Group Eleven stated that: "To have such an extensive, uniform and high-quality data set over the entire 1,200 km2 St...onepark and PG West project is a big step forward for Group Eleven. We are excited to now use this information to fast-track and refine our plans for what should be an exciting exploration program in 2020 on this project." Sander Geophysics has been part of the Tellus Programme gathering high resolution four frequency SGFEM electromagnetic data, as well as radiometric and magnetic data, on an annual basis, since 2015 and is eager to start the next campaign in 2020. More of SGL's Multi-Parameter Data Released by Geological Survey Ireland The Geological Survey Ireland (GSI) has released new multi-parameter data that Sander Geophysics completed flying in the spring of 2019. SGL acquired and processed over 40,000 lkm of high resolution four frequency SGFEM electromagnetic data, along with radiometric and magnetic data in this stage of GSI's ongoing Tellus Programme. According to GSI, SGL's airborne data will help with geological mapping and mineral exploration, as well as assist with environmental management. Sander Geophysics is very proud to be working with GSI, and the company looks forward to returning to Ireland in 2020 to complete the next phase of this important project.

SGL's AIRGrav System Defines a Large Gravity Anomaly in Northern Ontario for VR Resources VR Resources reveals a large and high amplitude gravity anomaly has been discovered at the same location as the magnetic anomaly at the Ranoke copper-gold property in northern Ontario. Dr. Michael H. Gunning, VR's CEO, stated that, "I am not sure that this airborne survey could have delivered a more definitive anomaly and more compelling evidence for a large and coherent body of high-density copper sulfide related to variably magnetic iron oxide minerals at Ranoke. This survey confirms and advances the potential for a large IOCG mineral deposit at Ranoke".

SGL To Start Next Phase of Project in Ireland Sander Geophysics is moving to the southeast of Ireland for the next phase of the Tellus Survey programme. SGL´s de Havilland Twin Otter (registration C-GSGF) will be flying at 60 m over rural areas and 240 metres over urban centres for the next several months gathering high resolution magnetic, radiometric and electromagnetic data. The Tellus Survey's aim is to have 75% of Ireland mapped by 2020 and provide more information to be...nefit economic, environmental and agricultural endeavours. The data from this project is made available at no charge from the Tellus website. Dr. James Hodgson, Senior Geologist and Project Manager from Tellus says "The Tellus Survey is an important project which continues to provide us with significant data that will offer us valuable insights about the makeup of Ireland." SGL is proud of its ongoing involvement with the Tellus surveys. See more
