Great to see so many familiar faces at the demo on Saturday, Sept 19th! Even if I didn't have time to chat with all of you it means a lot that you stopped by. Thank you for making time in your busy days. It was especially nice to reconnect following covid and smoke haze. Please note the gorgeous black lacquer frames that Mitchell added to my KOI pieces the night before! Fabulous! If you missed that demo, I will be there again this Saturday, Sept 26th from 1 - 4 pm. I so plea...sed with how the show turned out! The show continues until October 10th. Pics are me with Sue and Elaine : )

Here are two new KOI pieces I created for my welcome to Peninsula Gallery, in Sidney, BC! The one on the left is titled, "Rise Above"and the one on the right is, "Gathering". I love the Asian influenced symbolism of Koi. Perseverance in adversity, courage, abundance, success, friendship and love. Fitting and all qualities to rise to in these challenging times. You can see me demonstrating in the gallery on Saturday, September 19th and 26th from 1 - 4 pm! Mask up and come on by!

"Fioritura" is a recently completed floral piece. It is named for an Italian Operatic term meaning "flourish" or "flowering". The perfect name for this piece. Think Maria Casals. It is 48" x 48" and painted in Acrylic on canvas. You can see it in person at Peninsula Gallery In Sidney, BC from now until October 10th!
