To visit the Sara Corning archival collection, here are the Yarmouth County Museum and Archives winter hours. The statue of Sara Corning and children, as well as the new interpretive panel, are always accessible at the Museum's Parade St. location.
The Sara Corning Society expresses support for the Armenian people as hostilities erupt leading to death and destruction in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). To avert further bloodshed, only a peaceful and negotiated diplomatic resolution that respects the territorial integrity and Armenian self-determination will bring an end to the current conflict. Support and leadership by Canada and the international community are paramount at this time. The Sara Corning Socie...ty was established in 2016 with a mission to bring greater awareness of Red Cross nurse Sara Corning's humanitarian relief work. Beginning in 1919, Sara Corning devoted more than ten years of her life to saving and caring for orphans and refugees, regardless of their culture, history, or ethnicity - in Armenia, Greece, and Turkey. Canada's Armenian community has long had a profound appreciation of her heroism and we are grateful that 100 years later, Sara Corning is bringing our communities together. See more
