SRC’s Pipe Flow Technology Centre has turned the big 6-0 this year! This milestone is only possible because of the support of our clients and collaborators, as well as the hard work of our team. What happens at our Pipe Flow Technology Centre? It’s where we study the transport of slurry through a pipeline. During mining, ore is mixed with water to create a slurry, which helps extract the mineral being mined. We help mining and other resource developers study their slurries a...nd test processes for safe, cost-effective extraction, transport and processing of mineral and oil resources. The Government of Saskatchewan provided an update on the Accelerated Site Closure Program (ASCP). Launched in May, with the first approved projects announced in July, $34 million worth of work packages have been approved: https://src.nu/3kG7cze SRC is pleased to help expedite the Accelerated Site Closure Program (ASCP). Up to 8,000 inactive wells and facilities are expected to be abandoned and reclaimed over the life of the program.
