Went for a nice walk yesterday with Terry. We ran into my uncle Don Learn who was out to pay tribute to the 20 year anniversary of the death of Jamie Barker wh...o tragically fell to his death while painting the #AmbassadorBridge. Don was the lead for the jury on the inquiry as unsafe working conditions were responsible. Don is also an accomplished photographer who has done amazing work over the years! See more

Yesterday on my walk we came across a Heron! I’ve seen him before, and is a great sign of our eco system. This is more encouragement for protecting #OjibwayShores and a #NationalUrbanPark.

My condolences to the family on the passing Mr. Maroun. His legacy is that he grew his businesses to the point of having an outsized influence and impact on the border and this community, during a time of historical transportation challenges and changes.

Unifor Local 195 and Syncreon workers have also done their part through and true. They also are face with complications on the CERB and EI that still need to be fixed. When we made a counter proposal to the Federal Liberals it was based upon a fair model, and won’t cost the tax payers a dime. We have yet to hear back, but we can’t wait much longer, the sisters and brothers their have offered a solution, they at least deserve an answer.

Another reason for a Green Job Strategy, ironically we are subsidizing a $19 billion pipeline, and oil to be sent to mostly asia to be used against our own manufacturing

As we celebrate our nurses on the front line fighting this pandemic during #NursesWeek, I want to again thank all our healthcare workers and recognize the Ontario Nurses' Association Local 8 Public Health Nurses as it was 1 year ago this month that they persevered to get a contract after a 2 month long strike. #FairnessForPublicHealthNurses At any bargaining table lets remember the sacrifices nurses make on a daily basis especially during #COVID19.

Last night I was again making the case about high prices, bad coverage given governments have collected $20 Billion in revenue from spectrum auctions. Last budget they collected almost $4 Billion, but will only spend $170 million this year with no conditions on prices, and the goal is a 2030 connection which is ludicrous. Another auction for 5G is coming I want the plan to be lower costs versus revenue for the government. #cdnpoli

The #NDP Caucus with Jagmeet Singh today to recognize #NationalDayofMorning with #covid19 this year’s commemoration for those who were killed or injured at the workplace is even more significant with our #essentialworkers #frontlineworkers and #healthcareworkers facing difficult conditions. #cdnpoli

Hard to believe 3 years ago we won a hard fought victory to reopen our Veterans Office. It took years of rallying in the cold, petitions, questions in the House & public support. We have lost many of our veterans since that time, bless them & everyone for making a difference! #JackLayton would say Never let them tell you it can’t be done! #cdmpoli #thankavet

I walked into office today, what month is it ? Good news, Industry Committee will start to meet next week as we helped negotiate agreement to restart, with t...echnology there is no reason govt can’t keep working. Lots to improve on the small business package, helping industry transition, and I want to call the groundhog to testify about what happened to spring! See more

Things are changing and we most adapt-prepare-consider changes to our current plan. It won’t help workers, families and our supply chain if we don’t step up supports, resources and be better prepared. #cdnpoli
