We have a new oil in! It's one of my top favourites-LIME! It's stimulating and refreshing. Helps relieve stress, exhaustion and calms your mind. Lime essential oil is great for helping treat acne and skin problems. Mix two drops with a tablespoon of carrier oil, such as coconut oil and apply to the skin. ... It is also great for your hair! Helps eliminate dandruff and bring life to dull, frizzy, oily hair. Add a few drops with your shampoo/conditioner and it will help remove oil while moisturizing your scalp. What are your favourite essential oils and how do you use them?! My favourite oils are Lavender, Frankincense, orange and eucalyptus. I love lavender and frankincense for stress/anxiety relief and for helping me sleep well at night. Orange oil is great for reducing anxiety and for increasing energy. Orange is also amazing for making healthy all purpose cleaners. Eucalyptus is a life saver for cold/flu season. Disinfects the air and surfaces. Also opens up stuffed sinuses! :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a great beginning to the new year! Unfortunately, at this time of the year, many of us are catching that nasty cold or flu. Luckily, there are ways to help prevent getting sick! I would like to share some useful tips on using essential oils to help prevent getting ill, disinfect your home with natural ingredients and help relieve pain and congestion.... Essential oils have been used for centuries to fight the symptoms of the common cold. You can add them to your bath, diffuse into the air or even apply them to the skin. Oils help fight off infection and strengthen the immune system. Tea Tree- Inhale or adding it to your bath can help you fight congestion and is a great disinfectant. Lavender- My favourite oil of them all! Has antiseptic properties and is gentle enough to use around children. Peppermint- Has antiseptic and antiviral properties and can be used as an expectorant (peppermint oil is very strong and should not be used around babies or young children) Lemon/Orange- With its high vitamin content, it helps boost the bodies immune system and stimulates the production of white blood cells. Eucalyptus- As an antiviral and a decongestant, it helps treat colds, congestion and fights bacteria. To help with congestion, add to boiling water in a bowl or sink, carefully place your face above and inhale through your nose (just like peppermint, it should be used with caution around young children) NATURAL DISINFECTANT SPRAY Just as good as Lysol, but without the chemicals! In a spray bottle, pour one cup of rubbing alcohol into a spray bottle, add 15 drops of tea tree EO, 7 drops of lemon EO, 7 drops of lavender EO and water. NATURAL HAND SANITIZER 1. Add 5 drops of lemon EO, 6 drops of orange EO, 3 drops of peppermint EO, 2 drops of Tea Tree EO and 4 drops of Lavender EO to 1 ounce of aloe gel OR 2. In a 4 ounce spray bottle, add half a bottle of water, tea spoon of sea salt, 2 tea spoons of coconut oil (this is not mandatory, but helps make your skin feel soft) and the essential oils named above. ROOM SPRAY In a spay bottle add 1 cup of water and 15 drops of your favourite essential oil. Tea tree, eucalyptus and lemon are a great combination. VACUUM REFRESHER Add a few drops of essential oil to a cotton ball and place in the canister. As you vacuum, the essential oil will diffuse into the air, cleansing it and making your home smell fresh. Hope these remedies will help you stay happy and healthy! :)

COMMING SOON: BACK TO SCHOOL SALE! With back to school around the corner, I would like to share with you some healthy remedies that can help your child (and yourself!) through out the school year! 1. Head lice-yuck!- To help prevent head lice, apply a couple drops of tea tree oil into your childs shampoo/conditioner. ... 2.Colds- Dilute 1-2 drops of lemon essential oil in 2 table spoons of carrier oil (ex.coconut oil) and massage a little onto chest and neck. Diffuse 6 drops of lavender,9 drops of lemon and 15 drops of peppermint into the air with an air diffuser. 3.Fever- Dilute a drop of lavender, a drop of peppermint in 2 table spoons of carrier oil and massage a small amount to back of neck, back of ears and on the back (while using peppermint oil, avoid contact with eyes!) 4. Cuts and Scrapes-Add 5 drops of lavender and 5 drops of tea tree to warm water and use to clean wound. Apply a drop of lavender to a band aid and cover injury. 5.Ear ache- Apply tea tree and lavender to the outside of ear or apply a drop of each to a cotton ball and set in ear. 6.Sinuses-warm up/melt 10-15 drops of essential oil (eucalyptus and peppermint) 1/2 cup of coconut oil or olive oil. 1-2 tablespoons of beeswax pastilles, candelilla wax or palm shortening (can be made without but it wont be as thick) and rub onto chest Lavender essential oil- will help children and parents wind down after a long day of work and school. excellent for aching muscles, relaxation and stress relief. Add 6-8 drops of lavender into bath water, diffuse into air or spray oil onto linens Peppermint and Orange essential oil- this is a great blend to help your children wake up. Diffuse the oils into the air or apply (with a carrier oil) to their wrists and back of the neck.) Stay tuned for my back to school sale.
