Here are a few simple steps to help you achieve a great lawn this season! 1. Rake First, rake your lawn. Removing all of the excess debris from last season and making room for new growth. 2. Roll Rolling your lawn is an important step. Doing so pushes your grass roots back into the ground after being pushed closer to the surface during winters frost. As well as creating an even surface. 3. Fertilize The different between a "so so" lawn and a healthy, luscious green lawn free of problems is all in the nutrition it recieves. Fertilizer should be applied 2-3 times a year. 4. Mow Mow often! Be sure to keep your mower blades sharp and remove no more than 1/3 of the grass height per mowing. Your grass will respond by growing deeper roots to match the increased top growth. 5. Water Deep watering will grow deep roots. Lawns need 1 inch of water a week to maintain growth.
