Well, there certainly wasn’t much good news for bowling leagues in yesterday’s Bonnie Henry update. There was however a mention that more detailed orders regard...ing sport are coming out in the next few days. Have to wait to see what that is about. All adult leagues at Scottsdale Lanes are paused until further notice. Our YBC bowling on Saturday is permitted to continue. The bowling centre is OPEN daily from 10am until 10pm for families from the same immediate household and those in the same core bubble. Thanks again for your patience and support. I will certainly let you know as soon as there is any update.

Here is the latest update: There is a new update now posted to the Provincial Health Order. It defines Adult Team Sports and clearly mentions indoor bowling and... lawn bowling. As of this moment the adult leagues at Scottsdale Lanes are suspended. I understand there is an update due on Monday. Once again, this is a constantly evolving situation, it’s almost one day at a time. For your info, the bowling centre is remaining open. As of right now our YBC leagues are allowed to continue. We are also open for public bowling, provided people are from the same immediate household or core bubble. Thanks for your patience and for your support of Scottsdale Lanes during these difficult times.

Scottsdale Lanes will be re-opening on Monday, November 23 at 9am. We will be returning to full operation, all of our leagues will be bowling. Bowl BC has reached out to Dr. Henry’s office and Via Sport and reached the conclusion that league bowling can continue/resume with the mandatory mask mandate and physical distancing in place. No spectators are allowed. While league bowling happens with people outside of ones household sport has been given a pass. Updated safety plan...s must be adhered to. Wearing of masks while indoors is now mandatory, however it appears that you can remove your mask when you go up to bowl. At Scottsdale Lanes we will no longer be allowing public bowling while a league is on that uses most of the lanes. Any non league members who are in the centre during the league will be required to remain in the lounge. We will be fine-tuning the service of lounge beverages and coffee shop items so that bowlers can stay at their lanes as much as possible. I hope this all makes sense. Reminder to all members of the Tuesday 7pm Classic League at Scottsdale Lanes, we have a meeting coming up on Tuesday, September 1st at 7pm in the lounge. All l...eague members and anyone interested in joining the league is welcome to attend. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and vote on the league rules and payouts for the coming season. The league starts the following Tuesday, September 8th at 7pm. If you are a league member please like this message so we know you are aware of the meeting. All ...league members are welcome to attend. Of course each team is entitled to one vote.
