We're slowly progressing towards mid-season and we can certify that everyday has been amazing so far. Let's take a look back on what we could call a standard day on the water; On June 10th, we took Crazy Legs West towards Saturna Island where we were greeted by the lovely family group of the T 123's. They were actively hunting a seal which took refuge on board another whale watching vessel. We were able to observe them with engines turned off as they appeared to be training t...he young and stalking their prey. The matriarch of this pod is nicknamed T123 aka Sidney and her oldest son 123A is Stanley. On our way back we found the local eagle's nest where one of the parents were feeding the eaglets. All whale watching guidelines were obeyed and respected. Photos taken and cropped from a telephoto lens by our Naturalist Corinne and our Captain Karl was the skipper for the trip. What a unique experience we had yesterday! We are consistently seeing killer whales in the Salish Sea at the moment and yesterday was no different. We had the T100's, T101's, T86a's, some T124's and T36a's with what looks to be a new calf! No two trips are ever the same, so make sure you don't miss out on our next magical encounter and BOOK NOW!
