5 tips before getting you or your child's face painted. 1. Craft acrylic paint is not meant to be used as face paint. Even though it is non toxic that doesn't mean it is safe to be used on the skin. A professional will use FDA approved cosmetic face paints and glitters. 2. Not all glitter is same. There are different kinds of glitters. Craft glitter should never be used on the skin. Only skin safe cosmetic glitter should be used on anyone. Reason being is that craft glitter c...an scratch the corneas of the eyes. 3. Hygiene is extremly important. Do they using hand sanitizers/soap to clean brushes and hands between children? Are they using a fresh sponge on each child? 4. In most situations it is true you get what you pay for. Check reviews and ask to see examples of their work. A professional charges the going rate in their area. If a face painter is charging much less. Ask yourself why? 5. Most of all have fun. Let your child be a child. Give them the choice to be whatever their imagination desires. You're only a child once. Face painting is a fun experience for everyone young and young at heart.
