Serenata Music 16.11.2020

We look forward to Saturday, November 23 at the Wolf Performance Hall when Trio Tangere, Jerome Ducharme, Louis Trepanier, guitars, as well as Mark Djokic, violin will perform ten works by Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Piazzolla, Debussy, Donkin, Granados, Albéniz, de Falla, Maute, Bartók, and Assad. It will be a unique opportunity to hear solos written for both the violin and the guitar to be played by these outstanding artists. Several of the pieces were written or arranged for the... trio and will be heard for the first time in London. Please join us in two weeks. We are excited by the progress that Oliver Whitehead and Stephen Holowitz are making with the program for the January 18, 2020 program at the von Kuster Auditorium, Don Wright Faculty of Music, Western. We will let you know about the details in a later newsletter. Please note that the May 8 concert with percussionist Beverley Johnston and flautist Susan Hoeppner will be held at the von Kuster Auditorium, Don Wright Faculty of Music, Western. Now that The 2019 Juno awards have been a London success we are anticipating a splendid final concert with the return of clarinetist CHARLES NEIDICH accompanied by pianist MARIKO FURUKAWA on Saturday, April 6 at 8 P.M. in the Wolf Hall in a program of Brahms, Copeland, Widor, Saint-Saëns and Neidich. It has been too long since we last had both musicians our our stage. We recently had the opportunity to hear Charles in New York and are excited to have him return to London. We are sure that you will agree. Please tell your friends, especially woodwind players, not to miss hearing one of the world's premier clarinetists.
