Been quiet on the farm...everyone is keeping a low profile and staying out of the heat! Our little ducks find the shade from our apples trees the perfect relief.

They are perfect for grilling on the BBQ, or smoking them slowly to bring out all of the flavour!

Our Jersey cow Bluebell continues to be an amazing part of our farm. She is gentle and loving. A perfect fit amongst all of our animals!

Roasted ham - what a fantastic meal. We prepared this one for a special birthday dinner. It was slow roasted in the oven for 4 hours and broiled for a little while near the end to get the perfect 'cracklin'.

Dreaming of summer BBQ? Time to put in your spring pork order! Smokey bacon, thick pork chops, grilled sausage....the possibilities are endless! We are taking orders now for whole or half pigs or select custom cuts. Roasts make excellent pulled pork when you slow cook them or use them in your smoker. Our smoked hams make great family meals and cold cuts for lunches during the week. And our bacon, well....who doesn' t love bacon! Shut the barn door! . Our recent update to our barn - a new side door so the farmer doesn't need to open and close the big door every day.

Did I mention that we used the hops grown on our farm to add a little something different to our some of our cider? The flavours and aromas brought out by the addition of our dried Cascade hops halfway through fermentation are unique and delicious!
