Working on the biggest blanket yet - 22 lbs, and 6' 4" . There is another of the same dimensions coming after that, and then maybe a 26 lb!

10 custom masks.

I previously posted that, out of the 76 blankets I've made so far, only one mom has replied that her son isn't seeing a benefit. She just contacted me a few days ago to tell me that our agreed perseverance has paid off, and he's seeing at least some improvement!

SEW, yesterday on the news was a small announcement from doctors in Sweden, saying that weighted blankets might be exactly what people who suffer from insomnia need, when due to mental illness.

This makes 217 bags for donated dolls and stuffies since April 2019, for Canadian Food for Children. All fabrics I ever used for them have been from generous donations as well, from parishioners and others.

Blanket #75. For a young man whose room just got decorated mint green and grey. 10 lbs, 60 pockets. This is my first blanket done with the new idea of adding an empty row for extra weight and height later, as well as sewn using my mom's 1952 Singer! Hope he likes it, and that it brings him sleep.

1952 Singer to the rescue! My own Finesse machine just died, I think. :-(

SEW, my current customer stumbled onto a brilliant way of making weighted blankets for growing children. She originally thought I had told her that I make them with one extra row of empty pockets. Turns out that's not a bad idea at all, instead of my previous idea of adding another row later on, attached with velcro! I'm making hers right now, and am excited to be offering this in the future. PLEASE - do not buy disposable masks! Please do your best to buy washable, reusable masks. Obviously yes it benefits people like me, but please think of the environment! Fabric masks are much better quality, and I will add that I have yet to receive one bad review on my 2 layer, 100% cotton masks. Thank you.

Six more for the dolls and stuffies project for Canadian Food for Children (not the doll, actually - going to auction/sell it off and donate the proceeds to CFFC). Total is 206 since April 2019.

For a back to school covid kit charity - all 17 done; made almost entirely from the left over bits of customers' weighted blanket projects; 10 more for a different charity later today.

Here is an example of the bags I make for the dolls and stuffies that get sent to 20 countries, and the masks just completed - all made from donations and left overs; 16 more masks to come - ran out of elastic.

To all my past customers who ordered weighted blankets: Thank you! Most projects have seen small strips and bits of left over fabric, otherwise kind of useless. Please know that while most of these pieces have gone to making carry bags for children across the world, with Canadian Food for Children, I am now making masks for a local charity with those, for schools so that families in compromised situations have them to keep their kids safe at school! I ran out of elastic - 16 more of these to come.
