Il y a 10 ans aujourd'hui (le dimanche 6 juin 2004), la SFL organisait son tout premier événement de grappling à Montréal. Un seul combat fut présenté ce jour là. Il opposait Jonathan Gonçalves à Rémi Gélinas. Depuis ce temps, la ligue a accueilli près de 900 participants et près de 2000 combats ont été disputés!! En plus d'avoir tenu des événements à Gatineau et en Belgique entre 2010 et 2012, une onzième a été entamé dernièrement à Montréal, une quatrième à Québec et une to...ute première sur la Côte-Nord. Je tiens aujourd'hui à remercier du fond du coeur tous ceux qui de près ou de loin ont contribué à l'essor de la ligue. Dans la victoire comme dans la défaite, c'est un plaisir de vous voir évoluer chaque mois et ce autant sur le plan humain que sportif. Au plaisir de vous voir bientôt. Je vous aime!! Hi guys, I just want to take the time to thank you all for the two great years we had, running the SFL in Gatineau. Wonderful fights have took place with some great wins and some crushing upsets. I would like to announce to those who don't know yet, they're will not be an Submission Fight League in Gatineau anymore. Other big projects will need my full time and attention. Its been a real pleasure sharing those great memories with you guys ! Also a special thanks to our head ...referee Yann Fortier, Founder Stephane Larocque & our dedicated photographer ''Kuma Photo''.
