ATTN SCA students! The SCA computer lab at SFU GCA is open for limited use! Need to do video editing, music composition, drafting? Need Adobe Creative Suite? The computer lab on the 2nd floor with 5 iMacs and the 3rd floor balcony with 3 iMacs above the computer lab are now open for use. ... Here’s the procedure you need to follow to get access: The computers do not have keyboards and mice. We will lend them to you for the term but first you’ll need to complete the SFU’s mandatory COVID-19 safety certificate, found at https://canvas.sfu.ca/enroll/XM9EYR on Canvas, and email it to Corbin Saleken at [email protected]. Once Corbin has your certificate, you can arrange a time to pickup a keyboard and mouse from him. Note: Corbin is only on campus twice a week, so plan ahead. Once you have your keyboard and mouse, they can be used during the normal open hours of the GCA campus: 7:30 AM10:00 PM. Please be respectful and share access to these computers with your fellow students, and only use them when you cannot do your work from home. Remember, we only have 8 iMacs in total for use. At this point, access is first come first serve, but we might change that if required. If you have any issues with the computers or questions, please email Stefan Smulovitz at [email protected]. And remember: maintain good social distancing, wash your hands, and even wear a mask.
