Ability First Ottawa is an amazing local organization that helps people with disabilities in the community. They graciously gifted us 100 cloth sewn headbands, which help alleviate the pressure put on our heads from wearing masks and shields all day. Thank you so much, we appreciate your support!

Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what -Maya Angelou. Happy Family Day from Shepherds of Good Hope. Family, for many, is their friends and communities. In these tough times, we hope that you feel loved and supported by those who you define as family and have a safe and loving Family Day.

The first week of #Alittlehope was a huge success! So much #gratitude to Bruce Anderson and his partners who have raised enough to provide over 3,415 meals to people experiencing homelessness this winter. If you'd like to help, please visit www.alittlehope.ca

Karen's story is one of loss and struggle, but also one of finding hope again. When she came to our shelter, she was scared and alone. But thanks to the generous support of people like you, today she has a home of her own. Now, she's found her voice again. Without you, success stories like Karen's wouldn't be possible. Can we count on you to make sure everyone at Shepherds of Good Hope feels supported this Christmas? Please give today: https://www.sghottawa.com/give/

Alan Wang (person on the right in the photo) started volunteering in Shepherds of Good Hope's soup kitchen during COVID-19. He has a message he'd like to share with everyone on Remembrance Day. "As a member of 33 Service Battalion in the Canadian Armed Forces, I have been volunteering my time at Shepherd of Good Hope and Soldiers Helping Soldiers. November 11th will be an important time for all soldiers and service members to come together and remember the sacrifices their p...eers have made and continue to make. At this time, it is important for us to acknowledge the fact that there are still many homeless veterans across Canada who require assistance. This will be an important moment for us to continue our mission to provide and support our community, and repay our gratitude to those veterans who are struggling on a day-to-day basis. I appreciate everything that Soldiers Helping Soldiers Ottawa chapter is doing. They have not only been reaching out to those veterans who require assistance, but also bridging their bond with Shepherd of Good Hope by connecting veterans to their services." See more
