Did my first post-lockdown ZOOM lesson today..... and it felt good!!! It's nice to have the option and not be forced into it. If any of your students are feeling under the weather and you want to do an online make up lesson rather than cancel, I'm all about it! I really enjoyed it today!!! . . . . . just as long as I can still do in person lessons once they feel well. That IS so much better. But Zoom is a great way to do make up lessons in a pinch!!!!

Spent some time and money buying some new books at Long & McQuade on Friday. For those of you who need to purchase personal interest books yet, this is a great place to find something for your student. Lots of options for every level. If you need help, just ask.

So excited to begin this new year. The past six months have been difficult. For all of us. But I KNOW that each one of these buckets (students) is gonna bring me so much joy. I hope I can do that for them and their families as well. COVID: These buckets are gonna douse your effects. We will be joyful!!!

Preparations are well underway for this coming year's piano lessons!!! If you have not returned your child's ORIGINAL registration to me yet, please do so. I am still missing several originals. They may be dropped into the black mailbox at the top of the ramp. Have a great long weekend.

So incredibly proud of our 35 students who stuck with online lessons these last two months. We had our Zoom recitals last night and had almost 60 devices connected between the two recitals. So proud of you all. Have a great summer and I look forward to being back with you all IN THE STUDIO in fall.

What a crazy year it has been. From funerals to COVID to online Zoom lessons, I experienced a lot of firsts this year in teaching piano. I am so thankful for each family that has been a part of the studio and you truly are my piano family! It's hard to believe the year is over! Not really sure I want to repeat a year like this, but I do have to say, I have learned a lot. About my students, about myself but more importantly about teaching piano! My biggest take away thou...gh, has been realizing just how much each student (and their families!) mean to me. I have been so thankful for those able to continue on with online lessons, and have missed those who I haven't been able to see for so many weeks now already!! THANK YOU to each one of you for your love, support, patience and encouragement. You have turned this year - with all it's craziness - into a wonderful year. I look forward to seeing most of you back again next fall and cannot wait to connect back in the studio again then!!! We have two Zoom recitals yet on Monday for the students who continued with online lessons, which will also be a first for all of us! I wish you all a wonderful summer and hopefully we will be able to see each other in person soon!!! See more
