Shepherd's Hill started as a birthday gift of a Corriedale/Romney ewe and her two lambs to one of our children in 1997. The flock has grown to approximately 30 adults of mostly long wool breeds. Our aim is to raise animals with clean, lustrous, easy to spin fleeces in an ethical and sustainable manner.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow....why not visit some of the other fibre studios in the area. Call Marj at Amazing Graz to make an appointment, travel 15 minutes further, east, and visit Hilary Rice, at Mother Earth Studios. Top off your visit by travelling south to Belleville and. Visiting What’s Weft, with Esther Grav and Colleeen Thompson. There! A mini fibre tour!
The autumn colours are fabulous this year, and an inspiration! Looking forward to more time with the dye pots after Thanksgiving!
Hope you have time to take a drive, Sunday, and stop in at the Codrington Farmer’s market. The fall colours are amazing and I have been using them for inspiration in my dyeing. Yarn, dyed locks , knitted items, and possibly some hand woven blankets, All from my flock of long wool sheep. And Mary Anne White, a few fleeces to tempt you...... wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Grace
