Tired of wearing the same old boring masks when you go out? Boy, have we got the answer for you! One of our regular artists has created a series of hand-designed masks that are some of the most gorgeous we've ever seen, and on top of that, they are ridiculously comfortable too! We've got them in the gallery now, but we expect them to go quickly. Now you can wear a mask that is a fashion statement, as well as a health statement.

Some sad, but not unexpected news: Our first Fall craft show, Our Best to You, in Red Deer in October has been cancelled. Calgary (Festival of Crafts) and Edmonton (Butterdome) are still tentatively going ahead, but it doesn't really look promising. We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, you can still find us at Siding 14 Gallery in Ponoka. We are open for limited entry. If you come and find us closed, we may still be here, so give us a call at 403 790-5386, or give us call before you come to check on the latest news. Just a quick note to remind you that, while Siding 14 may not be wide open to the public, we are open by appointment. If you come by, and Mary is out front and sees you, she will come open the door. Alternately, you can call ahead of time, or from out front, at 403 790-5386, to let her know you are here or coming. We are around most of the time, unless we're briefly gone to appointments or to grocery shop, but if you are coming any distance, it's probably a good idea to call first.

A quick note about re-opening at Siding 14 Gallery In the interests of safety, for our wonderful customers and for ourselves, we will not be re-opening completely and immediately. For the immediate future, we will continue to be available, however, for anyone who wants to carefully and cleanly stop by to pick anything up: Art Supplies, a gift or a handbound book -- anything we stock.... If you want to see us,just give us a call at 403 790-5386, and Mary will meet you at the front door. We can offer curb side service if you know what you want, or one or two people at once can come into the Gallery to search for something. Hopefully, we can beat this virus, and be back to business as usual in the not-to-distant future, but in the meantime we strongly feel caution, on all our parts, is the best route to take until we're sure the danger is past. Looking for something special for Mother's Day this Sunday but having trouble 'cause all the interesting shops are closed? Well, Siding 14 Gallery may be closed, but if you give us a call at 403 790-5386, you can arrange to have Mary meet you at the front door, and let you get what you need . . . and if you're not sure what you want, we also have gift certificates in any denomination you like, so Mom can pick what she likes. And don't forget about you! If there's something you would like for yourself, the same routine applies. We're just being extra careful with distancing and not letting a bunch of people in at once, so we can control things and easily wipe stuff down after.

Well, the hits just keep on comin'! Creative Chaos in Vernon, BC, probably the biggest summer craft show in Western Canada, which we were supposed to do in early June, has been cancelled due to Covid19. That means Those Great Little Books won't be out and about anywhere until probably October, if we're lucky. And, of course, Siding 14 Gallery remains closed as we are classified as a non-essential service -- not that we have a big problem with that, it's as it should be. As always, if you really need something from us, give us a call at 403 790-5386, and Mary should be able to meet you at the front door. Some bad news if you were hoping to catch Those Great Little Books or the hundreds of other artists and artisans at Our Best To You craft show in Red Deer in April or the Butterdome Spring Craft Fair in Edmonton in May. They have both, not surprisingly, been cancelled due to the Covid19 crisis. At this point, it looks like Creative Chaos in Vernon in June will also be cancelled, but there's no official word on that yet. Our Siding 14 Gallery in Ponoka remains closed as well, but if you really need something, books, gifts, art supplies or whatever, give us a call at 403 790-5386, and Mary can arrange to meet you at the door. With the Corona Virus pandemic creeping close and closer to home, Siding 14 Gallery is taking the unprecedented move of closing our doors until further notice. We don't want to put our customers at possible risk by potentially exposing them to the Corona virus, and with Dan at high risk, recovering from last year's heart attack, we just don't want to take any chances. PLEASE NOTE: If you really need something, such as a gift, or art supplies for yourself or your kids while yo...u sit in self-isolation, please call us at 403 790-5386. We are around (where would we go?) and Mary would be happy to briefly open for you to come in and get what you need. A quick heads-up for anyone considering coming into the Gallery tomorrow, Saturday, February 21st. We have to go into the city, and will be closing about 2:00. We will then be closed Sunday and Monday as usual, opening again, regular hours, on Tuesday, the 24th.

A quick heads up for those thinking of coming into the gallery in the next couple of days: We need to go into the city for a meeting tomorrow, and are taking the opportunity to run some errands while we're in there. We'll be open till 6:00 today, Tuesday, January 8th, then till about Noon or so tomorrow. Thursday, we MAY be open later in the afternoon, it depends on when we get back from the city. We'll be open regular hours, 10:00 till 6:00 Friday and Saturday. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Just so you know, Siding 14 Gallery will be closed New Year's Day, but as of Thursday, January 2nd, we will be open regular hours, 10-6, Tuesday through Saturday. See you soon!

A very Merry Christmas (or Happy whatever else you may be celebrating), and huge thank you, to all our regular customers and to those new friends and customers who may have found us this year! Just a reminder that we will be closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, open 10 to 6 on Friday and Saturday, then closed till January 2nd, when we will resume regular hours. Once again, the Merriest of Christmases to everyone!

Christmas is coming! And so are our Christmas shopping hours! Starting next week, Monday, December 16th, the gallery will be open extended hours for your Christmas shopping convenience. We'll be open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM till 7:30 PM, closed Sunday. Christmas Eve, we will be closing at 5:00 PM. Not sure of all our post-Christmas hours yet, but we will be closed for sure Christmas day and Boxing day. We'll let you know when we've figured out our hours after that. So if you're looking for something unique, original and handmade, or for art supplies, for Christmas gifts (for you or others!), drop in and see us -- we've got all kinds of neat stuff!

Now these are cool. Among the items we've brought in from our artists for Christmas are these: reusable travel straws from Wanda Shum. Each in it's own Fimo-designed case, containing a collapsible metal straw, and a cleaning brush, they make the perfect gift -- for you or others. But, don't wait too long; Wanda is going through all she was able to make quickly, so she was only able to send us a limited number.
