Baskets are everything in our world. We love using baskets and bins to contain things. Containment creates order and allows you to improve and maintain organization. We use baskets and bins in the pantry, under the sink, in closets, for kids toys... list goes on and on.

Containment. One of our most used words when explaining how to get organized and stay organized! When items are contained it helps to create zones so that everything has a home. When things have a home, you always know where they belong which makes the maintenance a lot easier! This IKEA Canada container can be used for so many things, but for this client it was the perfect place to house their kid’s markers, crayons etc.

Organization is all in the maintenance, a little bit everyday goes a long way. While we are all spending lots of time at home right now, try and take the time to stay on top of things daily and keep things tidy. Keeping order in your space will allow you to feel calm...even in this chaos! Trust me, you will feel better for it!

Hands up if you hang your denim This is totally a personal preference and it really depends on the space you have in your closet. We do both! In this case, we hung the denim as our client had very little drawer space. We used our fav Amazon Basics hangers to maximize space and create a streamlined look.

Why decant pantry items? keeps them fresher & lasting longer saves space vs. bulky packaging you can easily see and access what you have... easy to tell when you’re running low AND it doesn’t hurt that it looks much nicer too! It’s definitely a commitment and takes some getting used to, but once you have a system in place it’s totally worth it! See more
