Chinese Mooncake - traditionally eaten during Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the four most important Chinese festivals. A thin crust encloses a rich filling usually made from red bean or lotus seed some may contain salted duck yolks. Eaten in tiny slices one mooncake is ~ 1,000 calories thus never included on any Jenny Craig menu but great if you've completed a triathlon! YUM!

The Park(ing) Day project began in San Francisco in 2005 when art and design studio Rebar converted one parking space into a temporary public park. Since then the event has grown into an international phenomenon with participants in countries around the world. This clever event challenges the concept of public space and reclaims lots reserved for parked cars in favor of parks that foster community. Parking day is this Friday!
