Sherman & Harley We need your help finding a new home for these senior gentlemen. Sherman (14 yr old Westie) and Harley (13 yr old Westie mix) are looking for a new home through no fault of their own. Their owner has been moved into assisted living and is devastated that he cannot take them with him. They are neutered males in excellent health. They have had regular vet care and their teeth are pearly white. They are both crate trained and housebroken (no incontinence). S...herman is happy to do a couple of short (4-5 blocks) walks a day; Harley is able to do longer walks, but content with the short ones too. They have had obedience training and walk nicely on a leash. They are good with dogs (used to attend dog daycare) and are currently living with 3 other dogs. They are good with people, although Harley can be a bit wary of some men initially. I don’t think they would be good around small children. Their owner would like them to stay together, and while I think they would be fine separated, I will honor his wishes and find them a home together. He would also like to be able to see them occasionally, so I will be looking to place them in the lower mainland. These boys still have a lot of life left and would be perfect for someone wanting the companionship of a dog but cannot commit to the rigorous exercise schedule of owning a dog. UPDATE!! Mocha is home with his loving family!! Just took a while to connect through the SPCA with it being over the holidays. What a great feeling to see t...heir happy faces this morning! Thanks to all who shared this post and we are just thrilled for this happy ending!! Happy New Year everybodayyyy!! This lovely boy ended up in our yard today... someone is missing him!! 228th and 126th area. (Maple Ridge) If you might know who he belongs to please send me a message and feel free to share!! Collar but no tag. :( Wanted to add a few details...this is definitely a young dog... HUGE paws and nice big head. His collar is kind of a lime green and black. He is not neutered...really enjoying our pillows...if you know what I mean ..lol. Very sweet and friendly. Hope we can locate his people as I'm sure they're terribly worried. Keep sharing and Thank you!!! Update: Well, we still have our house guest. I'm so shocked that no one has tried to find this beautiful dog. We are going into out third night with him and honestly...he's been no trouble at all. Looks like we are starting the New year with a THIRD Retriever in our house. Yes...we already have two of our own!! We will keep trying to find his family. Unfortunately they don't know that he's safe and sound and getting lots of love in our home.
