Just a quick note, If you are needing a sharpen or any else from the skate shop you are able to enter the arena at any time you don’t have to wait for your ice time.
Hello everyone it’s been awhile....and with issues with the arena it might be a little while longer. I won’t be open officially until the arena is operating fully but I do have some limited access. If you are needing skates done before the ice is open please let me know and I’ll try and arrange a time to meet at the arena.

Attention Residents of Beaumont! We have some updates regarding the COVID-19 virus. The City of Beaumont’s top priorities are the health and safety of the publi...c and city employees, as well as the continuity of services to residents. The city and its contractors have plans in place that can be activated to ensure essential services are not disrupted if a significant number of employees become unavailable to work. Employees have received instruction on how to minimize the risk of transmitting coronavirus in the workplace and to the public, and enhanced hygiene, sanitization and prevention measures have been implemented throughout our facilities, workplaces and on Beaumont Transit. During a pandemic, the city prioritizes: Maintaining public safety services, e.g., fire, ambulance and police Maintaining essential public works and municipal services, such as water treatment and delivery, garbage collection, and utilities Working with Alberta Health Services to provide information and advice to the public Closing public buildings when in the best interests of public safety and minimizing the spread of infection based on the recommendations of health officials Coordinating and directing Family and Community Support Services and local non-government organizations’ support to our response In addition, the City of Beaumont has agreements with neighbouring communities to share personnel capable of managing and maintaining essential services. Event and Program Cancellations The following facilities have been closed to the public effective immediately until April 6: - Centre Communautaire Beaumont Community Centre - Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre - Chantel Bérubé Youth Centre User groups and community organizations will be contacted directly regarding refunds or rescheduling. All city programs and events are also cancelled until April 6. The Bibliotheque de Beaumont is suspending all programs and events and will be re-evaluating on a weekly basis. The situation will be re-assessed regularly based on the risk level and recommendations from the Government of Alberta. Closures and cancellations may be extended further. It’s official the KNRRC has been closed till early April. Ice is coming out. Best of health to everyone and thank you for another great season. Once the arena opens again I will be available to make appointments to sharpen. Regards Skate Smith
Hello all, Hockey Canada has released a statement regarding minor hockey. All games, practices, camps etc. Have been cancelled. In light of the current situation the skate shop will be on spring/summer hrs. If you need a sharpening please contact me and a time to meet at the arena can be arranged. After being sick for the 3rd straight week I have come down with strep. The shop will be closed tonight Tuesday March 10. Hopefully I will be back on Thursday. Sorry for the last minute notice...

Just heard the rink should be up and running in about 45 mins. Not sure what games/practices have been cancelled but the ice should be good to go soon.
Looking like the power issue won’t be resolved till early afternoon. All games will be canceled from what I’m being told. I will post any updates when I hear anything.
Just a heads up the arena is experiencing a power outage and has been evacuated. I will update as things change.
Congratulations to Beaumont’s Andrew Morris for being selected to the AMBHL Bantam AAA All Star game being held on January 11 at Bill Hunter Arena in Edmonton.
The skate shop is open today till 4:00. We will be closed Dec 23-26 and open for the Tourney on Dec 27. I hope everyone has a great Christmas holiday.

Who is ready to get their skates on and enjoy our winter wonderland?! The outdoor rinks are open! The Lions RV skate trail is opening soon.... Please remember that the ice quality is subject to our weather conditions. The Bellevue rink is open Monday to Friday from 3:30-9:30 pm (please note that there is a boys and girls shinny until 2:00 pm and then it will be open until 9:30 pm. On Sunday the rink is open from 9:30 am until 9:30 pm. An extra note, please be aware of where you are parking and keep the emergency access areas clear. Send us your photos out on the rinks! We love to see our #wintercity.
