We are always so grateful for the support of Delta Bingo and Gaming. The funds they provide our club go a long way in helping to subsidize ice costs and create training opportunities for our skaters. While the Brampton location is currently closed, you can visit their website for more information on how you can play Bingo from home!

It is with very heavy hearts that we confirm that as of Monday, November 23rd at 12:01am, Peel Region will be entering a lockdown for a period of 28 days. Unfortunately, this means that Cassie Campbell Community Centre will be closing. All regular programming will continue Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. Programming from November 23rd through until December 20th will be cancelled. This includes all StarSkate, CanSkate, Ice Dance, and Ticket Ice sessions. Members ...are asked to check your emails for more information. We are so appreciative of your continued commitment and dedication to SCBC despite what has been a very challenging season. Thank you for trusting our staff, board, and coaches to provide a safe and positive training environment for your skaters. We are devastated to cut our sessions short once again and hope that it is just temporary. Stay healthy and safe! We hope to see everyone back on the ice again soon! #skatescbc #skateontarioproud

Due to the recent changes made by the provincial government for the region of Peel, it is with mixed feelings that we have no choice but to suspend our CanSkate program effective immediately through until November 8th. This decision was not an easy one to make as we see how important physical activity and organized sports are for all age groups. Unfortunately, with capacity numbers being reduced to 10 (inclusive of all coaches and skaters) and as spectators (parents/guardian...s) are no longer permitted inside the building, it is not feasible to continue to operate our CanSkate program at this time. Members are asked to check your email inboxes for information on program credits. We will continue to work closely with Skate Ontario and Peel Region to communicate updates as soon as we can. Please stay tuned for further details and again we ask for your patience while we work through this together. #skatescbc #canskate #skateontarioproud

As a result of this yesterdays announcement, we are in the process of re-distributing our sessions and working on a schedule that will accommodate all current StarSkate students. This process will take some time and as such we are cancelling all regular sessions from Tuesday, October 13th through Friday, October 16th. StarSkate sessions will begin again this Saturday, October 17th once our new schedule has been prepared and communicated to all members. An update regarding our... CanSkate program will come shortly. Members are advised to check their email inboxes frequently for updated communications from SCBC. Thank you to all of our members for your continued commitment and dedication to our program. We are working hard to continue to provide a safe training environment for our athletes!

Unfortunately SCBC was informed this morning that new limitations on the number of skaters allowed on the ice have been implemented by the City of Brampton. As a result we are cancelling all Tuesday, October 13th sessions. Afternoon ticket ice will proceed but has been capped to 8 skaters. SCBC is working diligently to adapt programming and staying in close communication with Skate Ontario. We hope to provide an update to our members asap. Thank you for your patience and unde...rstanding, SCBC Board and Staff

To our valued SCBC skaters and families, As you are aware, positive/new cases of COVID-19 have been steadily on the rise within Peel Region and we have been monitoring the situation closely. Today the Government of Ontario put new orders in place for Ontario businesses, facilities and other establishments. ... We have spoken with the City of Brampton and they have confirmed, at least at this time, that the orders put in place today by the Province within the hot spots in Ontario (Peel, Toronto and Ottawa) do not directly affect our scheduled programs. According to the City, no changes to participant limits for our programs have been made. The indoor gathering limit of 10 people is related to public events and non-sporting events. We encourage skaters to wear masks while skating however this is not mandatory under the exemption that they are participating in physical activity. Non-medical face masks are still required when entering and exiting the facility, inside the building upper and lower lobbies, and inside the spectating areas. Skate Canada Brampton Chinguacousy is committed to providing a healthy and safe training environment for our skaters. We will continue to work closely with Skate Ontario and the City of Brampton to ensure that up to date protocols are in place and followed closely at all times. Should any new information become available from the City of Brampton, Skate Ontario or the Provincial Government, we will provide updates to our website, social media channels, and directly to our members through email. Please feel free to reach out to Operations Coordinator Andrea Nesbitt at [email protected] you have any additional questions. SCBC Board and Staff
