Have you ever seen a flying dinosaur, bear, and little devil? Well, we have! Rachel, Laurel, and Mikayla came to see us, dressed up in their snazzy onesies, for an awesome and memorable day! The little critters loaded our plane and enjoyed the views on the flight up to 10,000 feet. One by one, the dinosaur, bear, and little devil jumped out and spread their wings as their fell 200 kms per hour in freefall! The parachutes opened and each flew around with the parachutes before... coming in to land, cheering as they did. Nice work, ladies! It happens more often than not that we come across someone who is adamant they would never jump from a perfectly great airplane! Mr. Unruh was no exception to this and as a most beloved teacher for my daughter and her bestie in grade 6 & 7, these girls continually pestered him to give it a try! In fact, wanting him to try it so much my daughter even wrote an essay on all the reasons why Mr. Unruh should skydive. We just accepted the fact he was a lost cause until out of the b...lue he agreed to go for a skydive! With the girls excitedly cheering him on and taking bets whether he would back out when the plane door opened, Mr. Unruh took on an experience that he would never forget! That moment traveling through the sky at 120mph was life changing and he soon discovered all the reasons why skydiving is so incredibly awesome! The smiles said it all and this new adventure was an awesome accomplishment and hopefully a new chapter into some more adrenaline filled adventures! Jaymie was having a birthday and instead of doing something simple like cake with friends, she came out for some adventure! Jumping out of a perfectly good plane at 10,000 feet will definitely give you something to remember. She loved tumbling out of the plane and doing a few flips with her instructor. Ismael is a newlywed whose wife got him a skydiving experience as a gift. He seemed pretty calm but excited to get in the plane and ride up to 10,000 feet. The gorgeous blue skies made a wonderful backdrop to his skydive. One of his favourite moments was when the door opened and he flipped out of it with his instructor. Sometimes there is no milestone to celebrate, you just get the itch and want to make that leap! "It's a nice sunny day, I felt like spending some money, and going for an airplane ride to jump out." That was Ron's reason and it seems like a perfectly wonderful one! After enjoying the beautiful plane ride to altitude he was ready to start the next part of the experience -actually jumping from 10,000 feet! Sinead was so excited when she showed up for her skydive. She didn't appear nervous at all and was eager to get in the plane! After training for the jump with her instructor they rode up in our cessna to 10,000 feet to get ready to jump out. The door opened and now the nerves hit! But it all dissipated as soon as she made the leap. She felt awesome and free as they fell nearly one and a half kilometers in freefall before the parachutes opened. She even thought about doing it in other places but it was our magnificent views and location that finally sealed the deal! She talked Liam into coming along with her to share the experience. Arturo and Maria are collegians from Camosun College. They were up island for the day, from Victoria, and Maria had expected she was going for a lake day with Arturo. Are you excited for ski season?

When was the last time you did something for the first time? There is nothing quite like your first skydive. You don't know what to expect. You are full of anticipation. You've trained with your instructor and maybe watched a few videos, but you really don't know what it FEELS like. Until the door opens at 10,000 feet and your legs dangle out of the small plane high above the earth, you don't know what it is like! Nicole wanted to have a new experience so she booked herself... in for a jump with us and we are so glad she did! She was full of excitement and it was infectious! When they tumbled out of the plane, the rush hit her and she felt what we are lucky enough to get to feel almost every day! It is such an amazing experience to fall 200 kms to the ground. The parachute roared opened and she flew it around full of smiles and laughter before landing. Thanks for such a great afternoon, Nicole! Make today great. Roman booked a skydive with us to make his day great. It was a gorgeous sunny Saturday with nothing but blue skies. Keegan seems like a pretty laid back guy. He showed no signs of nervousness as he got ready to the board the plane to jump out at 10'000 feet. What does one do when your sons both skydive, your husband decides to learn to skydive, and you are the one left hanging out at the dropzone as the cheering squad? You say, "To Heck with this I am jumping from that plane as well"! That is what Alison did and although skydiving is not the adventure sport top of her list (she's recently fallen in love with motorbiking instead), she can completely appreciate why her whole family loves flipping out of the plane from 12,500 feet above the earth!
