Cooling down the scope in the SkyShed POD for some more planetary imaging.
Well that was a fun weekend in POD MAX ONE! Mother Nature smiled on us here in S. Ontario for a few days. All live shots from the monitors in POD MAX ONE. Cle...ar Skies! Wayne Parker #SkyShedPODMAX #Celestron14Edge, #SkyWatcherEQ8ProRh #Altair294CPRO #SharpCap #Skytech
The SkyShed held up to torrential rain and 50 mph wind gusts without a drop of water inside. Now bring the winter snow and ice. I also have the heavy duty POD cover, but it hasn’t been needed yet.
SkyShed POD Owner Samara Nagle!
LIVE on-screen tonight from POD MAX ONE - For those who serve, and for the fallen. A "poppy" in space, 15 light years across. And our eternal gratitude. Lest We... Forget. Wiki - The Cocoon Nebula is a reflection/emission nebula and Caldwell object in the constellation Cygnus. The NGC description refers to IC 5146 as a cluster of 9.5 mag stars involved in a bright and dark nebula. The cluster is about 4,000 light years away, and the central star that lights it formed about 100,000 years ago. The nebula is has a span of about 15 light years across. "Live". No post processing. Darks and lights applied in real-time. Clear Skies! Wayne Parker #SkyShedPODMAX #Celestron14Edge #SkyWatcherEQ8ProRh #Altair294CPRO #SharpCap #Skytech
The Blue Moon - Happy Halloween - it's called a blue moon as it's the 2nd full moon of the month - not because it's blue - although I color shifted this on to bias some blue... and more natural color processing

SkyShed POD owner Charles G. just sent us this beauty shot of the Helix Nebula. Charles writes; I took it from my POD over a couple of nights. The POD did a nice job of shielding the scope from some breezes. 300 minutes total exposure with a ZWO ASI071 camera and a Baader UHC-S filter.... Wiki - 650 Light Years Distance The Helix Nebula (also known as NGC 7293 or Caldwell 63) is a planetary nebula (PN) located in the constellation Aquarius. Discovered by Karl Ludwig Harding, probably before 1824, this object is one of the closest to the Earth of all the bright planetary nebulae. #SkyShedPOD

Got some more veil nebula data earlier tonight and now starting to collect horsehead/flame nebula data. #skyshedpod
