A very big thank you to everyone today who participated in our first sweet pea seed sale! It was so surprising and encouraging! Your enthusiasm was uplifting. This has been a learning curve for me, I learned so much in this process. I'd like to make this an annual event, we need more local seed suppliers in Western Canada. There's still seeds available. I'll be moving them all to our website on Monday, but you can still order by email until then, just check out our the post here on fb to see what's left. We will be restocking on Monday too. Good morning! PLEASE READ FIRST. This is a small scale sale. Orders will be taken on a first come first served basis by EMAIL only at [email protected]. I will confirm with each one of you once the email has been received. Please state if you would like farm stand pick up or shipping (available for $2.50). Orders will be ready for pick up on Sunday, January 10th or at a time more convenient for you. I'll mail out any orders on Monday the 11th. Each package is $3.0...0 and includes 10 seeds. Snapdragons are 20 +/- seeds. They come in very plain glassine envelopes with instructions :). Nothing fancy here this time around! (I actually ran out of envelopes so if there is a demand for more than I have packaged, I'll let you know I'm packaging them a different way). E-transfers can be sent to [email protected] No password required. E-transfers must be received for your order to go through. Thank you! As an aside, some of these photos are "borrowed" and I have credited them. The rest are my own. A short description of each is found by clicking on the photo. Once a flower is sold out, I will remove it from the photo album. Thank you again! This is the first of what I hope to make an annual event as we need more local seed suppliers. Our first seed sale takes place this Friday, January 8th at 9 am on our Facebook page. It's small, but it's a start! Orders will be taken by EMAIL only on a first come first serves basis. You can choose to pick up your order at our farm stand or have it mailed for an additional $2.50 All orders must be paid for by e-transfer before pick up. I will email each one of you to confirm orders. Seeds are $3.00 per package of 10 and come in glassine envelopes with attached ins...tructions. New to the shop this week ~ Salt cellars by @mudnluvpottery. Classic in design and colour, they were made with wider openings for man hands to use too Salt cellars were used by early civilization to hold and dispense salt right up until WW2. They were seen as a status symbol at the dinner table, when the head of the family would pass the cellar around in a ceremonious style and were often made of expensive materials. Also known as salt pigs or salt dips, they were replace...d by salt shakers, which were invented in 1858 by John Mason (who also famously invented the Mason jar). Today, salt cellars are popular in many kitchens and used by chefs in restaurants as course and flavoured salts have become more common. Make throwing salt into the pot or onto the roast an art form!
