The question arises every winter season, when we ask ourselves studded or non studded snow tiers for the upcoming winter season ? The fact of the matter is both serve different purposes. Studded tiers offer best traction among icy road conditions as the studs grab and dig into the ice. Non studded tiers offer best traction within snow covered road surfaces as they're designed to eject snow from under the tier as it passes along the roadway (slots grooved into tiers). With t...oday's advancing tier technology good winter tiers wether studded or non studded are affordable to all motorist. Here at Smart Driver Training we prefer and use studded winter tiers for best traction on icy road surfaces. Snow plows generally have most of the snow cleared from our roadways with the exception of stormy conditions making our preference the studded tier. Altering the route you take can also be Smart within the winter months when our roadways are snow covered. Be prepared for winter and check out our upcoming Christmas Basket giveaway filled with all the safety equipment you need this winter season.
