Is beef a superfood? For a person to get as much protein from plant sources as they would from a single 100g serving of beef, they’d have to eat 160g of nuts ...or 500g of legumes. A recent study showed that nuts cost twice as much as beef, had four times the calories, and half as much zinc as beef. The legumes, while similarly priced, had double the calories as beef and less zinc.
