Introducing our final speaker reveal... Mike Wendling! As Director of Event Service for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Mike is accountable for all aspects of the Fan Experience, including Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Dispatch for 11 venues. Mike graduated from Ohio University with a Masters of Business and a Masters of Sports Administration. From there, he moved to Stillwater Oklahoma to become the Manager of Ticketing Analytics and eventually the Director of Ticke...ting, overseeing approximately $60 million in ticketing revenue. Five years ago, Mike moved back to Toronto to join MLSE as a Manager of Premium Service, where he spearheaded the introduction of Auto Renewal to Toronto FC and eventually all MLSE teams. Two years ago Mike was promoted to his current role, is responsible for 450+ employees, and recently won MLSE's Coach of the Year. Introducing our third speaker reveal, Dave Thomson! As Managing Director of NFL Canada, Dave is accountable for the business aspects of the league in Canada, including fan development, corporate partnerships, consumer products, media partnerships, and stakeholder relations. At the NFL, Dave has spearheaded a number of new initiatives that have continued to fuel the growth of the league and its fanbase in Canada, including the expansion of the NFL Play60 active living program... for youth, driving stronger media connections and content development, and establishing a comprehensive foundation of fan insights to support existing and new corporate sponsors. Prior to joining the NFL, Dave was with Coca-Cola Ltd. in Toronto for 15 years. Introducing our second speaker, Arjan Dhillon. Arjan Dhillon is a recent Laurier BBA graduate and former VP of Events at Sports Management Laurier. During his time at WLU, Arjan worked for various sports organizations such as MLSE, Wasserman, Tennis Canada, and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and is currently pursuing a masters in sports management.
