Sant Nirankari Mission

On June 3rd, 2020, SNM Toronto made its third food donation of 11,000 pounds of non-perishable food items to Regeneration Outreach Community, a local food bank serving Brampton area. Over the last 2 months, the Mission has donated over 33,000 pounds of food items to the food bank. The Regeneration Outreach Community invited the members of the Mission to their facilities to express their gratitude for all these donations. During this interaction, the Food Bank employees inclu...ding the Director of Operations, Jenna Dewsbury, highly appreciated the support and hard work that went into making the donations. The members of the Mission also paid their gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community. SNM Toronto donated its first installment of 30 face shields to the to the Woodhall Park Long Term Care facility in Brampton. Kanwal Adbul Hai, the Director of Care at Woodhall Park, was so amazed and very much appreciated the donation and said As you know that Long Term Care facilities are in great need of PPE because we are serving and protecting our most vulnerable population which is the elderly. Our goal is to maintain infection control practices and having face shield...s will help us to promote this practice throughout the facility. The Sant Nirankari Mission (SNM) Toronto branch continues its partnership with the Regeneration Outreach Community to serve the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic. On May 20, 2020, the Mission made a second donation of 8,609 pounds of non-perishable food items the Regeneration Outreach Community’s Food Bank. Over the last two months, SNM Toronto, in collaboration with the Real Canadian Superstore (Winston Churchill), has donated a total over 22,000 pounds of food i...tems to the Food Bank. Humanness Food Drive - 2020 On April 3, 2020, The Sant Nirankari Mission (SNM) Toronto Branch, donated 13,971 pounds of non-perishable food items to Brampton Knight’s Table to help people in need in these challenging times. Knight’s Table is a platform that serves and empowers vulnerable members of our community by providing food and access to resources in a safe environment through volunteerism. These food items were collected, as apart of Humanness Food Drive, during the m...onths of February and March by the members of the SNM Toronto congregation. The volunteers bought, sorted, and packed the food items for donation.
