Here, you can find your audiences demographics, when theyre on Facebook and the posts that they like best. This information is essential to know when advertising to your audience. Always stay consistent. Its okay to have more than one social media audiencefor many organizations, thats the reality. As long as youre aware of each audiences differing needs and preferences, your social media can stay on track. However, with multiple audiences, its important to stay consistent. Use the same profile picture, username and voice so that your organization has a unified presence across all platforms. Grow where you know. Trying to expand to other social media audiences? Include links to your social media in newsletters and on your website so that you can gather communities that are already interested in and interacting with your organization. Dont forget to listen! Target future customers and find out how to engage with them. Essentially, this is the group of individuals you will be targeting your content towards. 2. Have your content stacked up You need to be active EVERY day if you want to achieve the best results. Having content prepared in advance will help you stay ahead the game. We would strongly recommend having at least a weeks worth of content ready to go prior to each week you are currently operating (create a content calendar). 3. Research your competitors Take a look & see what your competitors are doing & pinpoint the areas/posts in which they are receiving the best feedback. Dont copy these posts, simply make them better & add your own twist. 4. Maintain Professional Branding It is essential you maintain professionalism within your brand by ensuring you are keeping consistent by always posting your content with company fonts/colours. Not only is it essential for your content to be aesthetically pleasing but it is also essential that you are providing value with every post you publish. People nowadays are only tuning into social pages that provide them with knowledge, humour, relief, etc. So you need to ensure your business is at least nailing one of these categories when you are making up your posts. 5. Post at least 9 times before following (For Business Startups) Customers need to see what your brand is about before following you. Local Facebook/Instagram Ad Targeting Many small business owners make the mistake of narrowing their target audience far too much when advertising on Facebook & Instagram. This mistake is committed when an individual targets too many interests while making their ad campaign. When targeting small businesses, it is essential to understand that Facebook is an advertising weapon in its own. ... Facebooks database is so large that it has data consisting of over 1/3 of the earths population. With that being said, Facebook is able seek out the individuals that would be most interested in what your business has to offer while also ensuring your business receives the best possible ROI. For Example: You are a pizza shop advertising in Barrie, and you want to run your first ad campaign to get an idea of who is interested in your business. What most people do: Target the interests, Pizza, Pizza Lovers & Barrie as the location What you should do: Target just Barrie as the location By targeting Barrie alone as a location you are ensuring that you are not excluding anyone from the city that you are targeting for. By targeting using the interests pizza & pizza lovers you would be cutting your ads reach in half compared to if you left the interests alone & just targeted Barrie (Facebook can target better than you can).
