Hello Everyone! Many of you are familiar with our annual school food drive, but this year it's going to be looking quite different given the restrictions with C...ovid-19. We will only be accepting monetary donations this year, participating local businesses will have donation jars and there will also be a link shared with easy access to an online donation website during the two week period of the event. There is also going to be an online auction this year where you will be able to bid on gift baskets, gift cards and other items that have been donated by some amazing local businesses. Everything raised goes straight to the Sooke Food Bank, please share with your friends and family and keep checking in on this Facebook page for updates! See more

Plastics have become such a big part of our everyday lives, often more than we realize. One of the simplest ways to reduce waste is to avoid single-use plastics.... Consider bringing your own reusable water bottle or travel mug, pack your own lunch using beeswax wraps or reusable containers, buy in bulk, use your own grocery bags and refuse plastic straws or cutlery. What's one thing you do to avoid single-use plastics? For more tips, visit www.crd.bc.ca/reduce. #WasteReductionWeek #PlasticsThursday #rethinkwaste
