To All the Volunteers, Thank you on behalf of the entire Summer Games organization for all your help to make the 50th Southern Alberta Summer Games such a wonderful 4 days for everyone. Your help was truly invaluable. It was great to see people involved in so many different aspects. Those that were on the front lines helping at the various Sport and Cultural venues; the Sport Chairs who gave their time to organize prepare and run their chosen sport; those involved in movin...g equipment and setting up venues; the organizers of the Opening Ceremonies and Alumni Banquet; the decorators and the take downers; and last but not least the Organizing Committee who spent the last eighteen months getting ready. It was amazing to have the staff from both the MD and Town offices offer to spend part of their work day out at different sites. Your enthusiasm was fantastic. As a thank you, we have planted an elm tree in front of the Memorial Community Centre Arena in honour of the 50th Southern Alberta Summer Games volunteers.
