If you have ever checked out my website and the services I offer, you would have notice I don’t just offer full scope makeovers and renovations. I offer a few different services - one being Color Consultations. . This service actually was the original reason I started my company. Back in 2013, I was in design school and was working a full time job at a flooring store. I found people constantly needing help selecting new floors to go with existing cabinets and paint or new pai...nt to go with existing or new floors. . So I capitalized on that need for people. . Not only did it get my foot into the design world but it also increased my sales in the flooring world. It has been the basis of what I have been doing since. . The Color Consultation has morphed a bit over the years. Now, this service only helps you select paint colors for your home or space for $165 for a 1 hour time slot. Normally a color consultation won’t exceed the 1 hr time slot. If it does, fees do apply. . Once you book in with me I come to your home with my color swatches and swing set. We discuss what you want the space to feel like, identify fixtures and features that need to be tied in to help create a continuous flow throughout with all the elements. I also leave the color swatches that are decided upon with you as a gift for you and your painter to easily purchase. . Serious talk.. . Think about building a home or going through a renovation and trying to save a dollar on products, install and have ZERO design advise... We all try to save money in some way or another. But when it comes to large ticket items & materials that you will rely on to function and will be surrounding you for a long time, it’s much better to pay a bit more and have it last longer with no issues. . I have a great example I can use to show you what I mean.... . Flooring. Large ticket item. Needs to be functional. . A couple goes into a reputable flooring shop. They find a floor that works for them and they love. They get the price & think it’s got to be too high.. When in reality costs are probably fair ($$-$$$). . Regardless, they decide to walk into a big box store. Found a product that looks similar, seems super close in construction but the cost is ($). . Then they decide, from watching YouTube that flooring isn’t that hard to do and they will just hire someone off Kijiji since they don’t have the tools for it. Cost for that ... definitely ($). . He installs it for nearly half the price. At first it looks decent, not perfect, but decent - they justify paying him because it is half the price so they aren’t going to argue. They pay him and he leaves. . A few months later- issues arise. The flooring is cupping and warping. . They call the installer to see if he can come back and fix it. No answer. No accountability. They never hear back from him. . They go back to the big box store to see what the flooring warranty is. The store will tell them because they didn’t get it professionally installed they will not cover it’s issues. . So in the end the couple ends up going back to the store they knew they could have trusted in the beginning to correct all of this. . Soo in the end (1st attempt $ + 2nd attempt $$$)= ($$$$), when in reality they could have only spent ($$-$$$). Not to mention the personal time that was expended. . There you have it. Bad design & planning does absolutely cost more. & this is only one example in the construction industry. If you talk to a GC, they will have multiple relatable stories to this. #thinksmarter See more

: . The absolute best part! . This stage starts when final touches and touch-ups are implemented & perfected.... . Then the REVEAL! I lead you through a walk through and present the design. Now, as much as I’d like to say it’s just like the #hgtv shows.. unfortunately it’s not as my clients are usually living in the home . Regardless...the reactions are always cherished. & when you get to see my vision, with you in mind, come to life, it’s definitely my favourite part of our journey together. .
