There are 2 types of people that walk into a liquor store. #1 beelines for "their" bottle, their brand and they never vary.... #2 walks down each aisle takes their time and checks out all the new product. Last night I went into the Martenville Corner Store to buy a 26 of Vodka. There are so many different brands out there, with huge marked up prices, and for what? The brand name (Smirnoff, Absolut, Skyy....), the fancy design or pretty bottle? Sure your bottle looks nice but what does the product taste like? What % is the alcohol? Distilled? Will it make my Ceasar taste amazing? Well my friends I'm hear to tell you that I have found "my Vodka". I came across Sperling Silver products back in May .I'm telling you it tastes great, and it's freakn made in Regina! Guess what it was the lowest price. Next time you walk into an LB please walk around there is so much local products being made and they need our support. Stop lining the pockets of the big corporations, the little guys are trying to put food on their table. Sperling Silver is a Saskatchewan company with a distillery in Regina. They also have a store in downtown Saskatoon, they sell all locally made booze. Silvers market is a must stop, just steps from the Midtown Mall entrance, on 2nd ave. Ps. Celebrate New Years with a bottle of our Indigo 100% Blue Agave Spirit. Have it straight up or a Tequila Sunrise . 4-5 oz orange juice... 2oz tequila .5-1oz Grenadine Marashino cherry and orange wheel, to garnish cherry and orange wheel, to garnish DIRECTIONS Fill a glass, like a hurricane glass, with ice. Add 2 oz tequila and 4-5 oz orange juice. Pour 0.5-1oz grenadine syrup over the mix. It will sink to the bottom. Do not stir. Garnish with your maraschino cherry and orange wheel and serve.
