Further to the current situation surrounding COVID-19, we would like to inform our clients that there should be little, if any, impact on real estate closings in Ontario. Our provincial electronic system Teraview, a secure one-stop solution to accessing data in the Government of Ontario's land records database, remains operational. There is no indication that banks will be closed. These two entities are essential for the purchase and sale of properties in Ontario. Registratio...ns are now electronic. We at Spiteri & Ursulak LLP remain open and it's business as usual for real estate transactions. We value our relationships with each and every agent and our clients. For more information please feel free to contact our office and speak to one of the many real estate lawyers at Spiteri & Ursulak LLP or visit our website at http://www.sulaw.ca. Please remain diligent in social distancing and maintain proper hygiene and continue to follow Ottawa Public Health for any updates regarding COVID-19.

On Saturday, February 29, one of our partners, Chris Spiteri, attended the 23rd Vienesse Winter Ball. An evening dedicated to helping raise funds to foster young people's knowledge and appreciation for music. Mr. Spiteri and Ms. Micheline Saikaley co-chaired this year's charity event, which was hosted at the Trillium Ballroom of the Shaw Centre in downtown Ottawa. Twelve debutantes and their male counterparts performed a polonaise processional and a waltz, to music played by the Thirteen Strings Chamber Orchestra. https://youtu.be/74zlgkzJYPY

Gabriela Kratchanov, an Associate with our firm, had the pleasure of taking part in the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Design -..., UOttawa 2020 Entrepreneurship Concept Competition as a judge this past week. She had the opportunity to judge alongside two other seasoned professionals. The competition included pitches from six different companies, who were all vying for the top prize of $5,000. It was an absolute pleasure to hear from so many dedicated entrepreneurs who are focused on solving real problems through reducing our carbon footprint, saving money in new ways and helping to modernize the tools used by the visually impaired. The future is incredibly bright
