On behalf of the Sherwood Park Junior B Knights, we would like to invite you to support the team through this raffle. Hockey is a sport that demands teamwork, builds self-esteem and promotes leadership while helping to shape young people into productive members of our community. The team cannot exist without your generous support. The Sherwood Park Junior B Knights Hockey Club main fundraising event is this12 Knights of Christmas raffle, with 12 prize draws with approx tota...l value of $7000 in prizes. Ticket sales help with the costs for team equipment, trainer fees, referee fees and ice rentals. The Junior B Knights have been a part of our Sherwood Park hockey community for the last 47 years, providing young men aged 18-21 an opportunity to continue playing a game they are passionate about while pursuing an education or starting their careers. It is often challenging for these players to meet the financial commitments required to play. The team is made up of local players who choose to settle and work in our community. They also give back to the community during the hockey season participating in local events, assisting on-ice with minor hockey teams, and volunteering. Today, SPMHA would like to shine a light on one of our participants who is working hard to help others in need. Landon Friesen is an extraordinary U13 goalie currently raising money to help those with cancer through the October Save Goalie Challenge, and for the first 3 weeks he has been the #1 fundraiser in Canada. This young man has been the mascot for the Kali Bear in his school Woodbridge Farms. He lost a classmate to cancer, two grandparents to cancer, and has a close ...family friend that is his age that has been fighting cancer since February 2020. With the fundraiser wrapping up by November 13, we would like to help him make one last push to put his totals over the top.
